REACH NEIGHBORS

As a congregation, we are called to make an impact not within our building but beyond the walls-in our community, in our city and in the world. We need to ask ourselves regularly, “If our doors were to close, would anyone outside ACAC care?” Then we need to make it our mission to be sure the answer is always a resounding, “Yes!”

Locally, we want to reach Pittsburgh, connecting and ministering physically, emotionally, and spiritually not only with our North Side neighbors but across our city. Here are a few of the outlets we use to do just that:

The Community Hub
The Community Hub

ACAC’s Community Hub allows us to open our doors to the neighborhood, offering a space where people can work and play, while also finding help, hope and healing in Jesus’ name. Moms with kids can utilize our community play space while enjoying a cup of coffee. Free Wi-Fi and lots of open seating offer the perfect alternative workspace. Of course, our doors are always open for anyone who wishes to attend a weekend service.

The Well

In biblical times, wells were the places where people gathered to connect and build community. Thousands of years later, we are still seeking community and connection, but the public well has evolved into the neighborhood coffee shop. It is our hope that The Well, ACAC’s coffee shop located in The Hub lobby, becomes a place where community and caffeine converge, where neighbors become friends over a great cup of coffee.

The Nest

The Nest is a children’s resale boutique offering quality clothing and furnishings at affordable prices. Located on East Ohio Street, just a few blocks from ACAC, in the heart of Pittsburgh’s North Side, The Nest is a community-centered ministry offering love and grace to all who walk through our doors. The Nest welcomes families of all income levels to shop for unique finds. When you shop at The Nest you become involved in the ministry of helping those in need.
