October 4–25 | ACAC Goal: 300 Shoeboxes
Pack Two. Share Hope.
This Christmas, ACAC is once again participating in Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse that delivers gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world while partnering with local churches to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
This year, our goal is 300 shoeboxes—and we’re challenging our congregation to pack two!
How to Pack Your Shoebox
Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox and choose whether you’re packing for a boy or girl in one of three age groups: 2–4, 5–9, or 10–14.
Choose a special “wow” item—such as a stuffed animal, doll, soccer ball and pump, musical instrument, or large toy—and then fill the rest of the box with quality toys, school supplies, clothing and accessories, and personal care items. You can also include a personal note and photo.
Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your shoebox and for their family and community.
Samaritan’s Purse recommends a $10 donation per shoebox to help cover collection, processing, international shipping, Gospel materials, and ministry training.
What Not to Pack
Please do not include food or candy, soap, toothpaste, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, used or damaged items, scary or war-related toys, seeds or other organic matter, breakable items, aerosols, or other prohibited items.
Help Us Reach 300!
Pack your shoeboxes and bring them to ACAC between October 4 and October 25. Monetary donations are also welcome to help support the project.
Every shoebox represents an opportunity to show a child that they are loved and to connect them with the Good News of Jesus.
Will you help us reach 300? Pack two and share hope!
