What happens when…?
Missions is more than one of the many ministries of the church. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals the missionary heart of God. He’s a God who seeks people where they are and invites His Church to join Him in making Jesus known among every people, tribe, and nation.
This October, ACAC will spend four weeks exploring what happens when we understand God’s missionary heart, embrace our place in His global mission, partner with the wider Church, and discover how each of us can participate.
Through weekend messages, special events, conversations with workers around the world, opportunities to pray and give, and ways to explore going ourselves, Known Among the Nations invites every one of us to ask:
What is my place in God’s global mission?
The 2026 Missions Month Workbook includes sermon notes, stories from ACAC workers around the world, our missionary history, 2027 short-term mission opportunities, recommended resources, and practical ways to become a Goer or Sender.

He’s Coming to Your House Today!
The Missionary Heart of God

God’s missionary heart has always been to seek us where we are and draw us to Himself. We begin Missions Month by looking at the God who does not wait for lost people to find Him; He comes looking for them.

Send Your Best
God’s Global Mission for the Local Church

The church at Antioch didn’t simply talk about missions. When the Holy Spirit called, they sent Barnabas and Saul, two of their very best. God’s mission calls the local church not merely to give what it can spare, but to participate sacrificially in what God is doing throughout the world.

Some are called to GO—crossing boundaries of geography, language, and culture to serve people and communities around the world. You might explore long-term missions, join an ACAC short-term mission team, or welcome the global neighbors God has brought right here to Pittsburgh.
Others are called to SEND—sustaining those who go through intentional prayer, financial generosity, encouragement, and practical support. You can pray for our workers, give generously to missions, encourage those serving around the world, and help others answer God’s call to go.
And many of us will do both at different times in our lives.

A Legacy of Sending
132 Years.
132 Workers Sent.
ACAC has a remarkable history of participating in God’s global mission. During our 132-year history as a local church, 132 men and women have been sent into full-time international missions service.
Today, ACAC continues to support workers serving across Latin America, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Southern Europe, Africa, and right here in Pittsburgh.
And that story is still being written.

ACAC is planning several opportunities in 2027 for people at different stages of missions experience.

• English camp for underprivileged youth through Missions Frontier

• A 10-day opportunity serving alongside Alliance Envision France.
Missions 301 — Considering Full-Time Missions?
Middle East | November — Tentative
• A small team will spend approximately 10 days serving alongside an ACAC worker in a creative-access location.
