“Prayer is the divine equalizer. Some preach, others teach, a few sing publicly, but all can pray.”
Keep the Journey Going
The invitation to draw near to God is always open. Whether you pray and journal every day, maybe every now and then, or are new to the journey, we are here to encourage you along the way.

Prayer Isn’t About Perfection
Prayer isn’t a performance. It’s about presence. It’s about being real with God, no matter where you are in your faith journey. Whether you experience peace or questions, closeness or confusion, remember – God sees you. He hears you. And He loves walking with you.
Small Steps Make a Big Difference
Growing closer to God isn’t about doing more for Him—it’s about creating space to be with Him. Here are some simple next steps you can take at your own pace:
Start Reading the Bible
The four Gospels at the beginning of the New Testament are a great place to start, especially the Gospel of John. Use free apps like YouVersion, BibleProject or First 5 to help get you started.
Stay in Community
Find a small group, ask questions, or come to a Sunday service at ACAC. Learn More.
Try a New Practice
Silence, practicing Sabbath, prayer walking, fasting or just sitting with God. Start small and keep it honest.
Keep Journaling
Don’t stop now. Keep writing down your prayers, thoughts, and what you’re noticing.
Tools to Help You Grow
There are all kinds of resources out there to help you grow as you continue on in your prayer journey. Here are a few that we think would be helpful as you explore new prayer opportunities.
