Senders at ACAC
Stay behind but are not passive. Instead, they actively sustain all who Go through intentional prayer, financial giving, and practical support. A pioneer missionary to India, William Carey, described the role of the Sender in this way: “I will go down into the pit, if you will hold the rope.” Senders “hold the rope” for those who Go.
Pray Intentionally
- Receiving monthly prayer updates for all our workers
- Attending missions prayer meetings
- “Adopting” an International Worker for whom they pray regularly
Give Faithfully
- Designating a portion of their ACAC giving specifically to “Missions
- Financially supporting long-term and short-term missionaries
- Giving of their time, talent, and treasure to our ministries serving local “global neighbors,” including refugee and immigrant neighbors
Support Practically
- Encouraging workers serving abroad by writing and calling
- Helping those preparing to go, or those returning for a visit
- Assisting those who return permanently to adjust and resettle
