We combine worship and teaching on the weekends with fun and enriching fellowship during the week to help mold young teens into strong faith-filled followers of Jesus.

Middle School Quest

10am | 11:30am

Quest is a time to get together, worship with peers, and hear the Word.  Student-led worship bands lead us in worship, prayer, and music as a large group each service. Then we break into Sunday school classes lead by an adult leader.  (At 10am, the entire service is for middle school students only.  At 11:30am, we worship together with high school students, then break off into our middle school classes after singing.)

Middle School Blast

During the school year, midweek middle Blast is a fun place for you to connect with friends and learn about Jesus with your peers in a youth group setting.

Baptism Class | May 12

Baptism, what is it? Why should I get baptized? What does it mean for me and my faith? These are great questions and we are sure you have more. Join us Sunday, May 12th during our 3rd service (11:30am) on 2nd floor Whiteside as we discuss these questions and many more. You don't want to miss this opportunity.  Baptism will take place during services the weekend of May 18/19 in the main sanctuary.  (There will also be a baptism class and an outdoor, lake-side baptism offered in August.)

January 2019 Parent Meeting Recap

Missed the parent meeting?  Here are a few highlights...

Programs: Midweek and Sunday (also included events and activities)

We shared all the themes and topics being discussed during our the middle school and high school programs. We also shared about all the upcoming events and activities that are being organized for your son, daughter and their friends. You can reference the calendar and program information at the top of this page.

There are two Summer Missions Opportunities for students. For students currently in 6th-7th grade, they can participate in the RE:Lease trip to Ohio.  For students currently in 8th-12th grade, they can participate in the national Alliance youth conference called LIFE. Please check our website to find out more information regarding these trips.

Partnering with Parents

We talked openly about how vital it is for our SM staff to work in partnership with parents. It takes a community to develop young people today. We want to assist parents in the development process. We talked through 3 questions:

  1. What is going in your family and your kid's life, right now, that would help me and the other youth leaders know how to best walk alongside you? How can the youth ministry team support you and your family better?
  2. In your relationship with your children, how have you seen their spiritual development?
  3. What issues, if any, are you experiencing with your children from social media?

Prayer - We spent some praying for one another in small groups.

As you review these highlights of our parent meeting, if any questions, concerns, thoughts, and/or ideas come to mind, please do not hesitate to share them with our team. We look forward to connecting with you and your youth even more. Check your email periodically for our Parent Newsletter and for updates on upcoming events and activities. God bless you all!
