The After School Place - ASP

This program is available to any child in kindergarten through fifth grade. We walk children from the two neighborhood schools, Allegheny Traditional Academy (ATA) and Martin Luther King (MLK) Elementary to Allegheny Center Alliance Church (ACAC).  Children from other schools may come by bus or be dropped off by an adult.

The program runs from 3:30 - 6:00 p.m. on days that the Pittsburgh Public schools are in session.

The cost for the school year is $360 (may be paid at $40 per month).

Each classroom is filled with 10 children and two teachers. Everyday the students do their homework, have a nutritious snack, Bible devotion, academic enhancement, and free time. On Fridays, we have a large group worship and praise time along with a Bible lesson.

During homework time, volunteer tutors come in to work with the children on a 1-1 basis who need extra academic help.

The goal of  the After School Place is to provide a safe, caring environment for children to excel academically and spiritually, while learning about how much Jesus loves them.
