Our sanctuary choir is comprised of approximately 80 men and women ranging from students to senior adults. We value and celebrate our common unity in Christ within the diversity of our life experiences, cultures, and musical backgrounds. Rehearsal is on Wednesday nights from September to May, 7:00-8:30pm in the sanctuary. We minister every Sunday morning during the school year with the exception of the first Sunday of the month and a few others. If you are interested in joining choir, please complete an application and return it to the worship department.
Band (rhythm section) and Orchestra
Our sanctuary band and orchestra accompanies both the worship songs as well as the Choir song at each weekend service on the second and third weekend of each month. If you play an orchestral instrument (strings, brass, woodwind), or a rhythm instrument (drums, bass, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and keyboards), we would love to have you involved. We rehearse on Tuesday in the sanctuary from 7:00-8:30pm. If you are interested in joining band or orchestra, please contact Becky Wimer at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 412-321-4333 x 234.
Vocal Team (aka Worship Team)
Our Vocal Teams partner with the Worship Leader in providing vocal leadership in our corporate worship services. These rotating teams are selected by application followed by an audition to determine the applicant's ability to harmonize and hold his own part. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm in the sanctuary. If this is an area that you would be interested in serving, please contact Becky Wimer at email@example.com or 412-321-4333 x234.
No experience necessary! We would love to train you!
The media team supports weekend services and special events in the sanctuary and the chapel through the use of audio, video, and lighting technologies. We also serve during various special events throughout the year that occur in other venues around campus. This group of dedicated servants includes those with extensive technical backgrounds, as well as those whose greatest asset is a willingness to learn. Some of our members also participate in preparation for special events by creating graphical/video content and by assisting in setting up/tearing down AV systems. If you have any questions, please contact Gregg (firstname.lastname@example.org) or you can see our Application at the link to the left.
Our team includes the following roles:
- Sound Technician/Engineer
- Video Camera Operator
- PowerPoint/Graphics Operator
- Lighting Operator
- Video Director
We are generally looking for team members who are high school aged or older. If you are under that age but would like to participate in media, we encourage you to contact the student ministries pastors/worship leaders to see how you can participate in the student ministries media team.
