Communications & Social Media Specialist (Part time)

 Position Status: Part-time

Supervisor: Communications Director

Position Schedule: 24 hours/week.  Primarily office hours, with flexibility for some evening and weekend work as needed

Position Summary:  ACAC is on the move - telling a story of Kingdom impact and God’s vision for the future of our church. Communications is seeking a creative talent to enhance our storytelling abilities. 

Responsibilities

  • Social Media: Create and coordinate daily posting and monitoring of content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Develop and execute social media campaigns that align with our strategic priorities, promote significant activities and events and increase on/offline engagement and conversation with our followers.
  • Web: Maintain content on the new church website – keeping ministry programs and event information current and fresh. Optimize tools within the CMS to improve functionality and efficiency for the best possible user experience. Utilize graphics, imagery, video and other visuals that will keep our web presence inspiring and engaging for our congregation and guests. Develop, recommend and deploy strategies for optimizing SEO, integrating social media and apps to increase engagement and enhancing existing and identifying potential new third-party web integrations for functions such as calendar management, online giving and media.
  • Print: Lead the content development, copyediting and production of regularly scheduled service bulletins, video announcement scripts, seasonal ministry guidebooks, brochures and annual reports.
  • Assist in recruiting and managing Communications volunteers across social media, web and print projects.
  • Coordinate production with outside print services, agencies and freelancers as directed.
  • Execute work under tight production schedules and deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy of copy and design elements for all finished products.
  • Respond constructively to feedback by using an iterative design approach, where several concepts and drafts may be required en route to the finished product.
  • Prepare independently by gathering necessary information and materials; independently studying information and materials to develop concepts and materials.
  • Help coordinate and execute work with volunteers and interns on projects and deliverables.

Audio/Video Technician Intern

Position Status: Unpaid Internship

Supervisor: Director of Worship Technology

Position Schedule: Dependent on the intern’s availability and ACAC’s needs

Position Summary:  The Audio/Video Technician intern will work with ACAC’s audio/video team to ensure  that high-quality media/audiovisual performance occurs during worship services and/or during special events at various venues. 

Responsibilities

  • Train with Director of Worship Technology to be continually improving in general knowledge of campus AV systems.
  • Assist the Audio Engineer to provide audio support for special events including, but not limited to, weddings, funerals, special services, concerts, and others as assigned by the Director of Worship Technology.
  • Assist the Director of Worship Technology in setting up equipment for special events as requested.
  • Assist the Audio Engineer to provide audio support for weekend services in the sanctuary and other venues.
  • Assist the Video Director to provide video support for weekend services when not serving with the Audio Engineer.

  • Skill in shooting and editing photography and video.

  • Experience using one or more DAWs (digital audio workstations)

  • Be able to lift, bend, use a step ladder.

Custodian (part time)

Position Status:  Nonexempt, Hourly, Part Time

Position Schedule:  Days and hours vary according to ministry need, but not exceed 28 hrs/wk

Supervisor:  Operations Assistant Manager

Position Summary: Facilitate the highest standard of cleaning within all of ACAC.  Ensure the rooms are ready for ministry events.

Responsibilities

  • Clean ACAC campus according to the daily scheduled cleaning sheets.
  • Keep cleaning sheet with you on your shift, sign off on areas you have cleaned, and turn in at end of shift.
  • Responsible for room set ups, clean-up and tear downs following meetings and events.
  • Maintain and keep in working order all equipment needed to perform your duties and materials in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, safe operation of equipment and machinery, and safety when using chemical and agents.
  • Responsible for laundry (rags, mops heads, etc.) as needed.
  • Report any repairs or maintenance needs on the daily sheets or to the Support Coordinator in a timely basis.
  • Perform any minor repairs that are seen according to your ability.
  • Respond to any emergency needs of the church: custodial, maintenance, medical, security, etc.
  • Security: Assist with keeping the campus safe.
  • Assist with snow removal.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Graphic Design Specialist (Part time)

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop modern and fresh graphic design material for both web and print as part of communication efforts for ACAC ministries and programs. This includes design support for the ACAC website, weekly print bulletin, seasonal ministry guidebook and promotional materials such as signage, posters, banners and brochures. Develop and maintain all digital screen promotions across the campus. Assist in developing sermon graphics and slides for weekend services.
  • Refine and reestablish brand standards including image, colors, message, style, icons, and logo usage.
  • Apply design experience and attention to detail to creative design solutions, proofreading and editing of copy; work with and adjust written copy to balance with design and visual elements.
  • Envision, sketch and develop design concepts that are on message, on brand and effective at inspiring and persuading desired responses.
  • Coordinate production with outside print services, agencies and freelancers as directed.
