NEW - Blog for Parents
Sometimes as parents we need a little support, a little encouragement, and a little help processing how to grow Godly children! After decades of parenting and working with young people as both a therapist and a student ministries lay-leader, Kristin Divers and her husband Lou, will encourage and inspire you in whatever stage of parenting you find yourself in. To join the discussion and be encouraged, visit http://acacthreads.livejournal.com/tag/parenting, Thursday’s, bi-weekly!

How to Lead Your Child to Christ:
Here are some simple scriptures that can be used to lead a child to Christ. Use the Bible to show that this is God's message. Use your hand as a visual aid, start with the thumb and explain each truth listed below:
- God loves you. John 3:16a
- You have sinned. Romans 3:23, Isaiah 53:6. (Sin separates you from God.)
- Jesus, God's perfect Son, died for you. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Isaiah 53:10-11. (He paid for your sin.)
- Receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior. John 3:16, John 1:12. (Believe He died for your sin.)
- You will be saved from your sin. John 3:16, Acts 16:31. (You will have everlasting life with God.)
You can tell the whole Gospel story in just eight words:
- God loves.
- We sin.
- Jesus saves.
- You choose.
Teaching children to pray:
A great way to teach our Grade School kids to pray is by using the acronym A-C-T-S.
- Adore. Start out by praising Him for who He is.
- Confess. Confess your sin.
- Thanksgiving. Teach children to have thankful hearts.
- Supplication. Lastly, children go to God with all their needs.
