ACAC has a wonderful resource in lay couples who are married, who have been trained to counsel engaged couples who want premarital counseling.  We have a formal program for engaged couples, to prepare for the issues encountered in the intimate walk and commintment of marriage.

Participating in counseling groups helps us be in community with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.  It provides an opportunity to give and to receive support and accountability to one another, keeping our hearts and minds aligned with Christ and His teaching. It also provides us a place where we can be transparent and 'real' with others, who are also struggling with similar issues.  In essence, we can be Christ to each other in counseling groups, and encounter His grace and healing! Support Groups are another venue for Growth Groups at ACAC.  They are made up of people sharing a concern or issue, generally led by a lay person, to help engage group participants to share in the process of healing.  Support Groups are available at different times during the year. 

If you would like to participate in one of the following groups, please call the church phone number (412.321.4333) and ask for the phone extension or voice mail extension listed next to the group.  The leader will get back to you to answer any questions you have.  All of the voicemail extensions and phone numbers are confidential, as only the leader of the group will have access to your message.  The Support Groups do NOT require pre-registration unless indicated.

SUPPORT GROUPS

• By His Grace This is a Christian 12-step recovery program for all addictions. Mondays, 6:00pm, UP Room 206, VM x915. Pre-registration NOT required. 

By His Grace January 30 ONLY: the meeting will be in Room 3-Lower Level in the Main Sanctuary building

• Christians In Recovery From Codependence (CIRFC) This group is for women only who are struggling in painful relationships and interested in exploring personal healing from their codependent behavior. Tuesdays, 7pm, UP Room 203, VM x906. Pre-registration NOT required.
• Every Man's Battle This group is for men who are struggling with sexual and emotional compromise in relationships.  Call VM x965.  Pre-registration IS required.
