ACAC has joined forces with Women’s Choice Network to help open a pregnancy care center here on East Ohio Street for abortion-vulnerable women.

Help us support the construction and furnishing of the new center (est. at $70,000), and operating the center throughout the upcoming year (est. at $100,000/year or $275/day).

Women’s Choice Network currently has five Pittsburgh pregnancy centers offering sonogram, pregnancy and STD testing, and ongoing support programs under the supervision of a Medical Staff. www.mypregnancycenter.org

Who we are:
The Women’s Choice Network empowers abortion-vulnerable women to choose life.  Since 1985, our Centers have provided life affirming pregnancy services to thousands of families in Pittsburgh.  In 2009, our Centers reorganized as Women’s Choice Network with a vision to offer these services in neighborhoods with greatest need. We currently serve in Oakland, Monroeville Mall, Wexford, Wilkinsburg, and McKeesport. The East Ohio Street location is our sixth center and is scheduled to open in early 2012.

What we do:
Our Medical Clinics provide pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, sonogram, Medical consultation and life-saving options to abortion. Our services also include post abortion care and abstinence education. All of our services are offered under the direction of a Professional Medical Staff and are provided to all clients at no charge. Each of our clients is encouraged to enroll in “Baby Steps,” our ongoing accountability program that enables families to earn while they learn. Childbirth, parenting classes, and life skill programs allow clients to earn clothing, furnishings, formula, and other items.

Fast Facts:
Over 8,000 abortions are performed in Allegheny County each year. That means that 22 of our friends and neighbors are suffering an abortion every day. 42% of those abortions are suffered by African American women yet African Americans comprise only 13% of the population here. We recognize and address this tragic injustice.90% of women who view their child’s ultrasound will choose life rather than abortion.85% of women report that they would not have chosen abortion if they knew help was available.

How you can help:
All of our services are offered to families at no charge because of the generous gifts from individuals and churches. Women’s Choice Network is not funded by any State or Federal dollars.

We rely on local partners like you to help us give hope to a new generation.
 - Consider volunteering to help us complete or staff our North Side location.
 - Help us with a “Grand” Opening gift starting at $1,000. “Grand” sponsors will be recognized in our Spring Grand Opening promotions.
 - Sponsor a Day. Each day it costs $275 to open our doors and serve our clients.
 - Host a Baby Bottle Campaign at your Church or business. Your spare change really adds up and saves little lives.
