Volunteering in Student Ministries!
Allegheny Center Alliance Church Student Ministries rises and falls on the shoulders and lives of the adults who sacrificially minister to our students and serve our ministry. We believe that our volunteers really are the pastors and shepherds of the hundreds of 6th - 12th graders that call ACAC their church home. It is a privilege to serve, and while none of us is perfect or clean from our own "mess," this team strives to live in the balance of being messy and yet in desperate need of new grace each day!
Not everyone with a burden for students is wired to interact directly with them, and that's OK! MANY people are needed to make student ministry happen. We need folks to mentor students who are serving within Student Ministries. We desire to see teams of students prepare food for programs/events, welcome students and help them get acclimated to our programs, update our website, prepare videos or dances or dramas, or do set-up for events and programs. Each of these ministry teams needs an adult mentor, though. Could it be you? Maybe you're familiar with fundraising efforts and could lend support to our Summer Ministry Opportunities by helping us raise support. Perhaps you're blessed with creativity and could work with a team of students to make creative announcements or sermon illustrations. There's so much to be done.
If you are interested in finding out more about what it means to join the Student Ministries team, please fill out the form on the volunteer signups page and we'll touch base with you.
